dobre_znak You will find the village of Dobré (at 420 – 730 m) in the valley of the Farský stream, not far from Dobruška. The first known mention of the place dates from 1260, the times of colonization of forests. There are records of iron ore mining between the years 1837 and 1877. At the end of the last century the village was hit by destructive floods. Notable persons born in the village include Karel Michl (1898 – 1982), a writer and an excellent teacher, Josef Pohl Doberský and Jaroslav Andrýs. If you are a sports lover, you can enjoy the sports centre and the swimming pool. There are a number of societies active in the village. Dobré has its fairytale patron, a jolly water sprite who has never drowned anyone and is great friends with millers.dobre
